Yoga Cikitsa: Therapy

Available online and in-person

If you are experiencing health problems, living with chronic stress, trauma, postural issues, lost sense of connection, overwhelm and or simply wanting to cultivate more ease you have landed in the right place.

Consideration of all that you are facing is woven into yoga therapy.

In a yoga therapy session you will be asked about your physical and or mental health goals.

There is exploration of what has contributed to your current experience with care & support and at a pace that provides time to steadily process and progress. Bringing awareness to the body and breath continuously we increase clarity to what arises.

Consideration of all that you are facing is woven into yoga therapy meaning lifestyle advice is given as and when appropriate.

Practices are provided on a prescriptive basis. This means that what is practiced during sessions and given as a home practice is totally specific to your circumstance, symptoms and goals and can therefore vary from one session to the next.

Yoga therapy is a gentle process that supports you with the processing and expression of all that has been endured.

This is a beautiful therapy that bridges the connections of the mind, body and spirit.

What is considered in personal therapy here:

  • Your goals

  • Somatic responses

  • Nervous system regulation / polyvagal theory

  • Postural alignment

  • Personal history

  • Patterning and processing

  • Influence of identity, race, class, culture, gender, neurodiversity and sexuality.

  • Ayurvedic & Yogic models

  • Yoga Sutras by Patañjali

Yoga therapy is a wonderful way of navigating life’s instabilities whilst increasing inner stability, health and well being.

I recommend beginning with 8 sessions to allow time for meaningful therapeutic work.
